Every cost on a direct order, line by line
This is the full list. If a cost is not here, Tuckly does not charge it.
| Cost | How it works | When it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Platform commission | 0% of order value. Tuckly never takes a percentage of an order placed on your site. | Does not change with order volume |
| Payment gateway fees | Set and charged by your payment provider on online payments. For reference, published standard rates in October 2026 were 2% per domestic transaction plus GST on the fee at Razorpay (India), 2.9% + 30¢ at Stripe (US) and 1.5% + 20p at Stripe (UK). Your provider's current pricing applies. | Per transaction, paid to the gateway |
| Delivery | Your own riders' wages and vehicle costs. You decide how much of it the customer pays as a delivery charge. | Per order, only on delivery orders |
| Subscription | A plan fee for the software. Current plan pricing is confirmed with you in writing before you start. | Monthly or annual, per restaurant |
| Taxes | GST, VAT or sales tax on your food and on service fees, according to your local rules. | As applicable |
| Optional paid features | None today. If optional paid features are introduced they will be listed here before anyone is charged for them. | None |
Gateway rates quoted from the providers' public pricing pages, checked October 2026, for reference only. Your gateway's current pricing applies.
Worked example
What 200 direct orders a month cost, line by line
Say your restaurant takes 200 orders a month through its own site at an average of $18, with online payment through a gateway charging 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction (Stripe's published US card rate, October 2026).
- Order value: 200 × $18 = $3,600
- Platform commission: $0
- Gateway fees: 2.9% of $3,600 plus 200 × $0.30 = $164.40
- Delivery: whatever your rider setup costs for the orders that are delivered, less the delivery charges customers paid
- Subscription: your plan fee
The same 200 orders through a marketplace plan charging 25% (the middle delivery plan published for the US by Uber Eats and DoorDash, October 2026) would carry $900 in commission before any other deductions. The commission calculator lets you run this with your own numbers.

Pricing questions
If there is no commission, how does Tuckly make money?
From the subscription. That is the whole model: you pay for the software, not a share of your sales. It also means our incentive is to keep you using it, not to push order volume through a channel that costs you more.
Why is plan pricing not printed on this page?
Because we would rather send you accurate pricing for your country and number of locations than publish a number that is wrong for half our readers. Ask us and you will get current plan pricing in writing, with no obligation. When published pricing goes live it will appear on this page.
Do payment gateway fees go to Tuckly?
No. They are charged by the payment provider that processes the card or wallet payment, at that provider's published rates, and they would apply to any online ordering setup. Tuckly does not add a margin on top.
Can I charge the customer for delivery?
Yes. You set delivery charges per area when you configure fulfilment. Whether the charge covers the full cost of your rider is your decision; the delivery fee calculator helps you work out a number that makes sense.
Is there a per-order fee of any kind from Tuckly?
No. Tuckly charges no commission and no per-order fee on direct orders. The only per-order costs are the gateway fee on online payments and the delivery cost if the order is delivered.
Is Tuckly an online ordering system free of commission, or free to use?
Free of commission: Tuckly takes no percentage of direct orders. Not free to use: the software is a subscription, with plan pricing confirmed in writing before you start. If you are comparing a "free online ordering system", check what it charges the customer at checkout or per order instead.
What happens if I want to stop?
Your plan terms, including notice periods, are set out in writing before you start. Your customer and order data belongs to your restaurant; ask us about exporting it as part of leaving.
